The Emancipation Procalmation
Emancipation Proclamation was announced by Abraham Lincoln during Civil War that he is going to outlaw slavery.
- The proclamation freed 500,000 slaves in the slave-holding border states.
- When the proclamation has been made, slavery wasn’t illegal.
- On April 10 1862 congress declared that the federal government would compensate slave owners who freed their slaves.
The 13th Amendment of the U.S Constitution
- President Lincoln was worried if Emancipation Proclamation that made slavery freedom, was worried if they would have rebellion
- Thirteenth Amendment created the abolition of slavery, which Abraham Lincoln passed through the House of Representatives (Emancipation Proclamation).
